BURST Toothbrush Heads – Replacement Options

Specifically designed with charcoal angled bristles, the BURST toothbrush heads are great for getting to those hard to reach areas of your mouth.

How do I Change the BURST Toothbrush Heads?

Replace your BURST Sonic Toothbrush heads by simply taking off the current brush head from the base of the brush. Next, pop on the new replacement head. To replace the BURST toothbrush head without damaging the brush do the following:

  • You will want to grasp one hand firmly on the large part of the toothbrush and use your other hand to hold the brush head.
  • It is important to pull the brush head off straight. If you try to bend or twist the head off you can damage the metal prong or the internal mechanism of the toothbrush.
  • Open the package for the replacement head.
  • Line up the flat part of the metal prong with the flat part of the new brush head. Push them together until it is seated on the brush.
  • Note that there will be a small gap between the brush head and the brush so the head can vibrate. The gap is normal.
  • It is a good idea to remove the head regularly. You should wash the area between the brush head and the BURST toothbrush. This cleans toothpaste and saliva so they don’t build up over time.

How Often do I Change the Toothbrush Heads?

BURST (and dental professionals) recommend changing out your brush head every three months.

You should also change your toothbrush head if you notice the bristles becoming frayed or damaged. If you have a tendency to really push hard on your teeth you may experience this. Although you may think that pushing hard is getting the teeth cleaner – it isn’t! The bristles need room to vibrate and do their job so keep even but light pressure on the tooth and gum surface for the best clean possible. Pushing too hard can damage you gums and enamel.

Even charcoal infused bristles don’t kill all the bacteria in your mouth. If you get sick or ill, it is a good idea to change out your toothbrush head as well. Start with a fresh clean toothbrush so those bad viruses don’t come back time and again.

The super soft charcoal infused PBT nylon bristles are one of the things that makes the Toothbrush Heads unique! They are specially designed to help remove surface stains caused by everything from wine at night to coffee in the morning. According to BURST, the BURST Toothbrush Heads and it’s electric powerhouse have been clinically proven to provide up to 91% greater plaque removal vs a manual toothbrush.*
